SKILLED VISAS
Skilled visas in Australia are a main part of Australia’s migration program due to the need the government has to cover the skill shortages in the country, which means, there is no enough Australian workers to cover specific occupations especially in regional areas.
For this reason, the government has stablished the follow skilled stream for immigrants interested in work, gain experienced and if comply with all the requirements, apply for the Australian permanent residency (PR).
SKILLED EMPLOYER SPONSORED REGIONAL (SUBCLASS 494)
This type of visa is for skilled workers nominated by employers who have a labour agreement with the Australian government.
SKILLED INDEPENDENT VISA (SUBCLASS 189)
A point-based visa; you need to meet the skills requirement and your occupation must be on the relevant list of eligible skilled occupations. Know more
SKILLED WORK REGIONAL (PROVISIONAL) VISA (SUBCLASS 491)
A point-based visa for skilled workers who are nominated by a state or territory government to live and work in a designated regional area of Australia for 5 years.
SKILLED REGIONAL VISA (SUBCLASS 887)
This visa is for holders of a subclass 489, 495,496, 475, 487 or Bridging visa A or B, who has lived and worked in a specified regional area of Australia for at least two years. .
SKILLED NOMINATED VISA (SUBCLASS 190)
A point-based visa for skilled workers who their occupation is on the relevant list of eligible skilled occupations and are nominated by an Australian state or territory government.
